We’re looking for crime writing – flash fiction, short stories and poems – on the theme of Ritual. It’s a topic which is on our mind as we enter the rhythmical build-up to the festive season.
Ritual is defined by the dictionary as a prescribed or established rite, ceremony, proceeding, or service; any practice or pattern of behaviour regularly performed in a set manner. But we want to see your interpretations!
Whether your perpetrator likes to recite a nursery rhyme to his victims, wear lucky red socks before committing a burglary or puts her pencils in a neat row before making lists of her victims, we want to see how ritual can be woven into your crime writing; overtly, covertly or washed down with a nice chianti…
